Gary Lee Wingard will join Bands Against Breast Cancer to fight breast cancer at the 26.2 with Donna on February 12, 2012.
Gary Lee Wingard, a solo artist based in St. Augustine, Florida, is a guitarist/singer/songwriter who blends classic rock, southern rock and pop as well as a little country into a venue that all ages will enjoy. The resonant and rich sound of Gary’s voice harmonizes well with both his electric and acoustic guitars. Gary performs cover songs with respect, a bit of originality and a special little something extra that separates him from the ordinary. His original material is upbeat, reflective and relevant.

Want to be more involved in Bands Against Breast Cancer activities? We’re in need of a few key volunteers!
- Need someone who can take a lead role in scheduling Breast Self Exam classes and education in the community
- Need someone to assist Hank with scheduling the bands for the 26.2 with Donna.
- Need someone to assist Hank on a regular and ongoing basis in keeping BABC organized and assisting with building our data base. Having a laptop would be an asset.
We would love to pay folks for their assistance, so getting sponsorship and grants would help pay for some of those positions. This could be your volunteer opportunity.
Please email Hank at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
Our “Glams for Mamms” Calendars are ready!!!
We are SO excited!
The proceeds from the sale of these calendars will ALL go to a special BABC fund to assist women in need in getting mammograms.
It features breast cancer survivors in pin-up 40’s style pics.
Great thanks to Laurie McSwain and Debbie Shuman for putting this all together.
Thanks to the great photographers from Jacksonville.com who donated their time, David Pearce and Paul Verner.
Thanks to Players by the Sea for their assistance with backdrops and costumes.
And, most of all, thank you to the survivors who participated in making this happen, and for continuing to be an inspiration to us all. YOU ROCK!
